The Company was founded by Late Shri Prabhu Dayal Agarwal, a well-known philanthropist.
The Company was originally incorporated in the year 1965 as Transport Corporation of India Private Limited. Subsequently, the Company changed its name to Transport Corporation of India Limited in the year 1974. The Company was listed on Bombay Stock Exchange in the year 1975.
In 1998 the Company underwent Demerger, pursuant to the Scheme of Arrangement approved by the Hon’ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad. In the year 1999 the Company changed its name to “TCI Industries Limited” (TCIIL).
TCIIL is currently engaged in business of rendering services by providing space for shooting of films, TV serials, advertisements and for events.
